The Timelessness of Osteen's Message

This sums it all up in an image... if only those first Christians had been exposed to the modern teachings of folks like Osteen... they would have been happy, healthy, wealthy and wise...

Osteen? Modern Teachings? Give me a break. Osteen has a feel good ministry that would make John Calvin and Martin Luther cry. No Law and Gospel preached in his Lakewood Joke of a church; nor Christ crucified. He doesn't even know the essentials of the historic Christian faith - RC Sproul is probably equally impressed or depressed. A sample of the 'deep theology' that is over the head of Joel Osteen--the poor man is a 'preacher' and writing books, but he has no clue what is and is not Christian when he says the Mormans are Christians - note recent interview on TV. Perhaps the next time someone wants a Presbyterian church to become more like Osteen's 'church', such a thing could be pointed out... Of course, when Promise Keepers allowed....Osteen's message isn't timeless it's useless.

Osteen's message IS useless. That was kind of the point.

Only lemmings could embrace the teachings of Joel Osteen.
